OFFICIAL: Loki Is Coming To Fortnite Battle Royale | Fortnite X Loki Collaboration
Another Fortnite x Marvel collaboration has just been announced, and this time around it is for one of Marvel’s characters who is quite in the limelight at this moment in time, Loki.
A Fortnite x Marvel is not exactly anything new as we have seen it on several occasions already. We’ve seen Marvel limited-time gamemodes, events and even skins/items available in the store. Not to mention, Fortnite even made an appearance in Avengers: Endgame too. With how successful the crossovers have proven to be, it is no surprise we are seeing another one.
Fortnite took to Twitter to announce the upcoming collaboration and you can see the post below.
Although the announcement doesn’t specifically mention Loki’s name, from the term ‘trickster’ and the horns featured in the image, it is pretty obvious which character they are referring to. More so, given that Marvel’s new series, Loki, has recently been released it makes perfect sense for such collaboration to take place.
Loki coming to Fortnite was actually teased previously with both Loki and Thor appearing in the background of one of the loading screens that was released. Many people picked up on the teaser and have since been eagerly waiting to see Loki appear in the game at some point and now it has been confirmed that he will be coming in July.
With the announcement stating ‘Looks like a trickster snuck his way through the portal and into the Fortnite Crew this July’, it seems as though the Loki skin/items will only be obtainable through the Fortnite Crew. If you are not aware of what the Fortnite Crew is, it is a subscription service, costing £9.99/month, that gives you in-game benefits such as, Free Battle Passes, free V-Bucks, and free cosmetics. Despite only just being announced, we have seen several fans not too happy about the Fortnite Loki collaboration being a part of the Fortnite Crew.
As mentioned, the Fortnite x Loki crossover is set to arrive in July, with on specific date being mentioned just yet. To be kept up to date with all of the latest news surrounding Fortnite and their collaborations, then be sure to follow the Gaming Broadband Twitter account.
